AMMOD metabarcoding

An archive note on one of the AMMOD research modules.

Within the AMMOD research project, the metabarcoding module — developed with the Systematic Botany Group at the University of Giessen — collected insects, pollen and spores autonomously in the field and identified them through DNA barcodes, reaching organisms too small or cryptic to identify by sight. A related strand of work addressed the data flows that turn raw sequences into trustworthy monitoring records.

This is an archived research topic. See the AMMOD archive and publications for the full record.
